What about the batteries on next year’s iPhones? What will they be like? There has been a report revealing many of their features. As is well known, the latest iPhones have introduced plenty of smart and impressing features, but it is also known that batteries definitely have not been among the novelties. To be exact, the improvements in battery capacities are not sufficient. Probably, the best battery in the Apple smartphone family is currently the one on the IPhone X (teardown based type with a capacity of 2,716 mAh). However, according to CNET tests, it is not much stronger than those installed on the predecessor models.
But now there appear some news suggesting that in the coming year things will change in this aspect too, and we will probably meet really new enhanced iPhone batteries. Such is the content of a research note by an industry expert Ming-Chi Kuo (KGI Securities). According to him, three iPhones of 2018 will certainly improve in terms of battery supply. In particular, they will be equipped with L-shaped batteries of a larger size (instead of the more usual rectangular type). According to other sources, the battery capacity should be upgraded to 3,000 mAh.
The expected improvement in battery pack will certainly come together with related improvements some of which will be simply inevitable with the new batteries’ larger size. Thus, on board of the new iPhones will be larger displays (reportedly of 5.8, 6.1 and 6.5 inches) and Face ID. In addition, there should be a rear side TrueDepth camera, and, probably, a faster processor. One thing is sure: the new models will feature new qualities in many aspects including battery supply. And you will be able to Charge Your Gadgets for Longer Work! However, let us wait for details, as the real picture will only open closer to the release date.
